THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned.

You can also start a book discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence.

I really loved how this book was a game changer as far as Toby's bloodline goes. I felt that it was well hinted at without actually being something I had considered, and the surprise felt appropriate. Of course, now I desperately want to go back and reread all the other books to see your hinting, which I fully intend on doing. It also gave her more power in a way that felt realistic and right for her, rather than the typical 'new book, new power' that some other authors have done (*cough*Anita Blake*cough*) that end up with the protagonist being a tad on the unbelievable side.

Also, I'm completely in love with Tybalt, and continue to be in favor of 'all Tybalt all the time'. :)
Oh, and also, I actually REALLY liked the characterization of Raysel in this one. I felt sorry for her, and I understood her hatred of Toby where I never had before. Way to make a good villain!
Seriously! She has Simon for an Uncle, Blind Micheal for a grandfather and was raised in a living hell. Oleander had no clue what she was dealing with.

I literally finished the book a second ago reloaded lj and this was here. This is awesomeness.
I don't think anyone really knew what they were dealing with with her. But I'm led to wonder - "why then"? Perhaps it needed the murder of Blind Michael to set things in motion...
Yeah. Poor Raysel never stood a chance at having a normal life.
