Um, Team Tybalt all the way if there are going to be teams re: Tybalt/Toby/Connor.

I loved how Amandine is a literal blood-worker; she doesn't just read it, she changes it. Does this mean she would be able to make any changeling fully human?

From the preview for the next book, Quentin is going to be Toby's squire, right? Right?
1) Not telling.

2) Not telling.

Seriously, asking about books yet to come will never have a good result; if I told you, there'd be nothing left to learn, and I'd just stop writing.
Pesky questions aside, I really did love this book. May is great and really brings a balance to the doom and gloom of Toby's regular point of view, and I find it hilarious that a Fetch is somewhat of a health-nut. The setting of the court rather than the usual jurisdiction of changeling and removed-from-court surroundings showed a whole new side of things, and I always love courtly intrigue with all of the back-stabbing that goes on.

The image of all of the rose goblins running in formation made me think of Miyazaki films, mainly because I sort-of picture them in that sort of style.
I loved May in this so very much! and her and jasmine is so adorable, Jazz seemed so perfect for her. And she is not a fetch. And she doesn't look like Toby anymore, but does look like people expect Toby to look to make for extra added confusioness!
I named my new laptop May. :)

(My iPod is named Dare.)
That is very much with the awesome. My wii is called April because I like the name and plan to change my surname to my January so if I had kids I am not mean enough to use that and want to get it out of my system well in advance. I got very excited to add a Toby-verse reference to that name after reading ALH. I may have to continue this trend with other Toby-verse month names.
Hee. I have a naming scheme of naming devices after storybook heroines. Lucy, Hermione, Phedre, Alice (laptop), Agatha (Phedre's hard drive in a new case), Dare (iPod), and now May.

My phone is named Dormouse, the only exception (although the Dormouse is mostly referred to as 'it', so being genderless perhaps it can be whatever it likes.)
It may be that the U.S. Navy has a database named October. (walks away, whistling)
I did not know that!
Well, I did name it. And it doesn't seem to come up in most conversations. The plaintive cry of 'octobers down' is rarely heard. I'm the data base admin, it better not be!
Ha!
I agree I love Jazz, even if I spent half the book afraid she was planted as Toby's oleander source
I love May so much. She makes me happy.

Yes! I loved this scene too!
Me too! I want a rose goblin.
There really need to be plush rose goblins.
I want to make a sculpy one to sit on my books.
I fully agree. We'd buy a few. :)
Oh, yes. Absolutely. I'd buy one (or five).
