I have a book coming out! Let's give stuff away!

It's time for my exciting Book Four GIVEAPALOOZA!!!! (Cue iCarly excited crowd noises.) Because Late Eclipses drops in just eleven days, I want to get everybody excited through the most basic means available to me:

Giving things away.

Specifically, I am giving away six books: two copies each of Rosemary and Rue (book one, for beginners!), An Artificial Night (get caught up!), and Late Eclipses (because new releases are awesome!). This giveaway is open only to North American addresses, unless you indicate in your entry that you're willing to pay postage. I'm really sorry about that, I just can't afford to both give books away and ship them overseas.

So here's how this will work:

1. Leave a comment on this entry. Leave it on the entry, please, not in response to another comment (replies to comments cannot win).
2. Indicate which book you want.
3. Indicate why you want it. Be as factual or as ridiculous as you like. Is it your birthday? Do you plan to encase it in amber and throw it in the ocean? Are termites involved? Have a party!
4. If you are outside North America, and willing to pay postage, include this in your comment.

...and that's all. The winners will be selected by our old friend, Random Number Generator, on Tuesday, February 22nd.

ETA: Guys, remember, An Artificial Night is book THREE. I sadly do not have any copies of book two in this giveaway, and if you try to read book three or four without reading books one and two, you're going to be really, really confused.

I still haven't yet gotten a copy of the third book, and would love to win a copy of it to read before getting the fourth book. :) I am currently re-reading the first two.

I have 2 great loves in my life-the love of chocolate and the love of the Toby Daye series. My continued mental well-being(hah)is dependant upon my getting Late Eclipses ASAP.-P.S. Please don't let my husband know that I'm cheating on him with your series he may get a tad upset.....

I would like Late Eclipses BECAUSE like 3 books I want being released on March 1 and I have a dilemma about which book to read. Winning would help decide because then truly it must be meant to be.

PLUS tomorrow is World Thinking Day (I'm a professional Girl Scout BTW) and since that is such a wonderful and unknown holiday I should win for being so...thoughtful.

I would love a copy of Late Eclipses, because I am almost finished with an Artificial Night, I have much Muni- and BART-riding time in my future, and a great story makes the ride disappear (and makes me miss my stop, but it's worth it). I swear, I will never look at Golden Gate Park the same way again.

I would love a copy of either (I'm bad at decisions!) Rosemary and Rue or Late Eclipses!

Rosemary and Rue because I gave away my lending copy of said book and now it is hard to convert people to the awesome of Toby, and Late Eclipses because I need to read the new book obviously!

Also I overuse exclamation points, and it is a sickness that can only be cured by reading good books. Definitely.

I would like a copy of An Artificial Night. I plan to give it to Wonder Woman as a thank you gift for allowing me into the Justice League. She was super nice about the whole thing and she needs some new mythical reading material. Themyscira doesn't get a lot of new reading material being shut off from Man's World and all.

I would LOVE a copy of An Artificial Night! I poured through the first two Toby books, and to finish A Local Habitation I didn't move for the last two and a half hours of the book (and might have seen the sunrise).

I am embarrassed to say that I am in need of a copy of Rosemary and Rue. Despite how long we've known each other, I have been inordinately lax in my book shopping and have not gotten a copy yet. I realize asking you to help me with my problem is ironic, but I figured it was worth a shot. (I will also grant that with household unemployment being mutual now for a year, it's a pain in the ass to budget for books. I had money when it came out. Not my ex-job's fault I blew that call.)

Actually I don't want any of them because we already have them

Late Eclipses because I have the other three (though, good lord, I am in need of more bookshelves) and adore Rosemary and Rue so far! (Though [I say that a lot (but not the mystical alot)] if I don't win, I'll just buy it either next time I'm at the bookstore or at ConClave, cos whee, I'll see you and get them all signed then.)

(I also have a nearly obscene fondness for parenthetical asides. Clearly.)
