I have a book coming out! Let's give stuff away!

It's time for my exciting Book Four GIVEAPALOOZA!!!! (Cue iCarly excited crowd noises.) Because Late Eclipses drops in just eleven days, I want to get everybody excited through the most basic means available to me:

Giving things away.

Specifically, I am giving away six books: two copies each of Rosemary and Rue (book one, for beginners!), An Artificial Night (get caught up!), and Late Eclipses (because new releases are awesome!). This giveaway is open only to North American addresses, unless you indicate in your entry that you're willing to pay postage. I'm really sorry about that, I just can't afford to both give books away and ship them overseas.

So here's how this will work:

1. Leave a comment on this entry. Leave it on the entry, please, not in response to another comment (replies to comments cannot win).
2. Indicate which book you want.
3. Indicate why you want it. Be as factual or as ridiculous as you like. Is it your birthday? Do you plan to encase it in amber and throw it in the ocean? Are termites involved? Have a party!
4. If you are outside North America, and willing to pay postage, include this in your comment.

...and that's all. The winners will be selected by our old friend, Random Number Generator, on Tuesday, February 22nd.

Game on!

ETA: Guys, remember, An Artificial Night is book THREE. I sadly do not have any copies of book two in this giveaway, and if you try to read book three or four without reading books one and two, you're going to be really, really confused.

I would like a copy of Late Eclipses, please. While I don't usually enjoy mysteries, I've enjoyed the first two of your books and am right now looking forward to reading book 3, which is in my bedroom. I've also told others about your books and hope I have convinced others to go out and buy your books.
Late Eclipses, and I'm prepared to pay international postage.

Reason being that my work hours just got radically cut and so although I'm keeping my head above water as far as bills and such go, buying shiny things like books is off the agenda for the next indefinite amount of time.
Late Eclipses would be nice. You see, the shakes have started. Even with your occasional reading list suggestions when you have a minimum 1 book a day habit like mine it quickly becomes apparent that there's just not enough good material out there. Please help keep me out of treatment. I don't want to overcome this addiction. I _like_ my bad habit. I'd consider thanking you but conveniently you've warned us of the dangers inherent in gratitude. Oh, BTW, it must be dawn. Your ears are showing. :)
I would like a copy of Late Eclipses. First I will inhale that new-book smell. Then I may rub my face upon it, indicating ownership. Then, and only then, I will read it. The whole thing. Shrieking may be involved. Ditto flailing on Twitter. Possibly quoting bits out loud, and/or lending the book to any friend who stands still long enough.
[entry on mathnerd's behalf]

Mathsie would be overjoyed if the Random Number Generator chose Late Eclipses for her, for she has been having the sort of Bad Couple Months that, well. The overseas part of the shipping would be covered in the usual fashion.
I would really like a copy of Rosemary and Rue. Why? So I can finally read it!
I would like a copy of Late Eclipses as this is book four, and four is the number of children I do not have, four is not the number of my house on the street, and four is not the number of jobs I have held in the last four years. Thanks!
I'd like a copy of Rosemary and Rue because I think I can incorporate it in a tincture that will allow mortals to see through glamours.
I would like to win An Artificial Night because I haven't read it yet! And also because, as someone who uses an artificial sunrise to wake up in the morning, an artificial night sounds rather intriguing, if mostly redundant at my latitude in winter.
I would like win Late Eclipse so can give it to a friend for her birthday.

I would like a copy of Late Eclipses so I can be madly involved in reading it when the horror movie starts. It's important to be that girl with the book that reads and does nerdy things in the horror movie, to live to the very end of the film. Nerdiness is rewarded.

So what I'm saying is, it would really save my life, should my life suddenly turn into a horror film.
Late Eclipses. Because I will love it, and pet it, and read it, and draw it pictures of roses. Also, the termites have demanded it. They have paraded with their wee little flags. They seem to think it should be part of the economic stimulus package. I intend to encase it in a plastic bag so that it can be no such thing.
Why, I should very much like my very own Late Eclipses! Reason: I already have Rosemary & Rue, A Local Habitation, and An Artificial Night signed by a Ms. Seanan McGuire. It only makes sense that I should have Late Eclipses so I can get IT signed as well.
I would like a copy of Late Eclipses, please, because it *is* in fact my birthday. Well, the day after my birthday, when it's released, but birthdays often run over multiple days in my family.

Also I've been practicing batting my eyelashes.

Also you owe me a name. :P
I would love to receive a copy of Late Eclipses, book four! ^^

Why? Because when we are playing author stacking (like building houses of cards, but with books by the same author), it is really hard to do more than one story with only three books as supports. If I had book four, I could compete in the second level competitions!

I live in North America.
1. This is a comment.
2. I would like Late Eclipses.
3. I would like to celebrate having just gotten a new job and new apartment in a new city. Life is shiny.
4. I am in Chicago. This point does not apply to me.
I would be astonished if I won a copy of Late Eclipses. I never win anything. Well, very rarely. I once won a trip to Walnut Creek. I live in San Bruno. >.
LATE ECLIPSES!!!! Cause uh.... that would rock and stuff. :D
And then I could read it, and the $ I save I could use to buy another copy of book 1 to share with a friend :D
I need a copy of One Salt Sea just because, well, I need it. Those shrines don't build themselves, you know.

And I'm in Canada.
I wanna Rosemary and Rue because one of my freelancing jobs involves reading non-fiction books and being all, like, integligent at them and things, and I always forget to buy myself some fiction to read for fun occasionally.
I will totally pay postages and toll money to kangaroos to deliver as I am in Australia.
I would love to win Late Eclipses because every time I get a new book by you I dance and squeal and squee about how fabulous you are, and I'd love to get to do that again. Plus, I recently finished AAN, and I need more Toby in my life, like... yesterday.

I would love to win a copy of An Artificial Night. Getting caught up in my reading of the series and having another book to share with my teen son (by an author he enjoys) would be wonderful.
An Artificial Night! Because I just finished reading A Local Habitation and am already in withdrawal...plus Rosemary and Rue was one of my Recommend Reading (http://cyvarwydd.blogspot.com/2010/09/recommended-reading-julyaugust.html) suggestions last year (and A Local Habitation will be in a forthcoming post!

Cheers, Dayle
