1. Take a copy of my book.
2. Take a pet (your own, or someone else's, although you should ask before borrowing the neighbor's cat).
3. Take a picture.
4. Post the picture.
Entries will be taken until the morning of Monday the 24th, at which point I will use the random number generator to choose from amongst the eligible submissions. I reserve the right to award a second prize if there's a picture that just slays me, like if someone gives a copy of Feed to a tiger or gives a copy of Rosemary and Rue to a dolphin. Be creative, have fun, and show me your pets!
(Yes, small children in cat costumes count as pets for purposes of this contest, but they have to be yours.)

Miss Vicious

This is our dangerous basement cat. She likes to curl up with a pair of feet to warm (in this case my husbands) and good book.
She is skeptical of my attempts to photograph and defies me desire to take HER book.

Henry with all of my Toby books. Plus, in that wrapping paper, ALH and AAN, to be given to a friend of mine when she gets back from overseas.
Aww, look at the cute candidate for virus amplification. Henry with the book that taught me that if the zombie apocalypse comes, cute or not he will be shot.

(full-sized version here)
All Care Cthulhus know the way to Babylon by candlelight. It takes them rather less than three score mile and ten, however, as they use non-Euclidean geometry to find shortcuts, and then they follow the Hound of Tindalos through all the angles of the shortcuts to find even more.
Even so, I would not count on them for rescue in dire trouble. They know they way, and they travel nimble and quick, but they are - being Eldritch horrors - of a certain appetite, and one can never be quite sure whether they are going to Babylon by candle-light for a rescue mission, or for a simple romantic dinner expedition.

This is Sephiroth! He normally prefers a good book as a pillow, but this time the pillow gets to be him.

(He's not strictly my pet -- he belongs to EFRC where I volunteer -- but he's my baby. And since paperbacks aren't on his diet, there has to be a fence between the tiger and the book. But I did my best.)

Moose is an 11 year old shepherd mix... he was supposed to be a foster, but I failed at fostering and he's been with me for 7 years. :)
She enjoys the taste of literature
