Entering the home stretch on TOWER PREP.

Tonight is a double-bill of Tower Prep episodes, with "Phone Home" at eight and "Trust" at nine. I'm trying very, very hard to convince myself that the doubling up is because Cartoon Network wants to finish the season before the end of the year, not because the ratings have been bad and they're burning back episodes to complete their commitment. (And if it's the latter, at least they're letting us see how it ends.)

Tower Prep has been one of the most consistently gratifying, well-constructed shows of 2010; I rank it just after Fringe in my current personal rankings. The plots and themes are less mature than they are on Fringe, but the show is also aimed at kids, and bearing that in mind, I just wish we'd had stuff like this when I was thirteen. As it stands, I'm enjoying it plenty right now.

The final two episodes will air next Tuesday, again from eight to ten, and I'd say the odds are good that Cartoon Network will have a marathon somewhere in the middle there. You should catch up, if you get the chance.

It's awesome.

I've been getting a little bored with some of the main characters' laziness/egotism/willingness to reject people because of "weird" geekiness -- so that the alternate team that seemed to be forming at the end of the recent Field Trip episode was striking me as more interesting than the nominal heroes.

But last week's episode, Dreams, was pretty great, so I'm hoping that the next four will be, too, and that the show will come back, with more for Gabe to do than flaunt his recent SPOILER, and more for CJ and Suki to do than agonize over boys.
Yeah, they seem to have trouble balancing "we're a show for teens" and "we're an awesome mystery show" sometimes. Also, I don't like Ian/CJ. I really wanted Ian/Suki.
Ah, I'm not the only Ian/Suki shipper! Hooray! Though I was also intrigued at the idea of Ian/Emily.

And last week's eps were both straight up awesome; I'm hoping that tomorrow's will be too.
Okay, so tonight's episodes? Were FRAKKING BRILLIANT. (Not that I'm expecting a reply, because you've got plenty going on, but if you haven't seen them yet, I think you'll enjoy them.)
OMG YES.

I am ECSTATIC and I need a season two confirmation RIGHT NOW.
