Looks like those eclipses are right on time.

Yes, it's time for the moment you've all been waiting for: the moment where I give away the first ARC of Late Eclipses, fourth book in the October Daye series. Because I am an enormous dork, I literally waited to open this giveaway until I had my book-specific icon in place. STOP JUDGING ME. I am a dork, I embrace my dorkitude. Anyway...

Who wants to win an ARC? About what I figured. I'll have some more effort-intensive contests in a little bit, but first up, it's our old favorite, the random drawing. To enter, please do the following:

1) Leave a comment on this entry. Leave it as a comment on the entry, please, not on someone else's comment. Comments left on other comments cannot win.

2) That's all.

Please don't comment going "pick me, pick me," if you could be so kind. I don't pick anyone. The random number generator picks the winner, and it is a cruel mistress which has never yet picked a comment containing "pick me." Instead, why not tell me why you're excited about this book? I'd really love to know.

I will choose a winner at 2PM PST on Tuesday, December 21st.

Game on!

Leaving a comment. Crossing my fingers.
I'm excited because each book has been better than the previous one, and AAN was EPIC.
I'm so excited for a fourth Toby book! I cant wait for more Tybalt and Toby! <3
Comment.

I will say this would probably force me to buy the others in the series so I could find out what's going on.
o hai!
Crossing my fingers!
I cannot wait to read more about Toby and May, and the idea of more of the Luideag and Tybalt makes me shiver with excitement. I would love to win an ARC, and I'll be honest: I'm still catching the bus out to Joseph Beth the day it comes out and buying my own paperback copy even if I get an ARC. Belatedly: YAY THAT DAW BOUGHT BOOKS 6 & 7!!
The other thing I'm really looking forward to is the potential of a chimera_fancies pendant sale for this book
Toby kicks some serious ass, and I'm really interested to see where her relationship with the fae world (and Tybalt 0_o) goes.

ALSO HAS A FUN GIF

May the all powerful random number generator look with favor upon this humble comment?

I am super looking forward to this book because it seemed, at the end of the last one, that Toby was finally back together and starting to reconnect with those around her, and I want to see how that works. Also, I want to see more of what her friends and family make of May. Also, it looks from the cover like we'll get to see her at court, and I confess, I've been wanting to see that since book one.
I heard you speak on a panel at WorldCon, and immediately went out and ordered the first October Daye story... and have since ordered and read the second and third (which I finished last week). I have to admit, I spend far too much of these books waiting for more Tybalt, because he is so magnificently catlike. So that's probably what I am excited about in the new book! Much as I love October, Lily, Luna, Sebastien, Quentin and the rest, I just can't resist Tybalt. Ooh, and the Luidaeg, of course - I love her friendship with October (actually, I love the way most of Toby's friendships are at least somewhat antagonistic).
*bounce* So excited for book 4. Each book gets better and better as we get more and more into the world. I am so exited to see how the relationships between the characters continue to progress.

Long live Toby!
I am looking forward to see how May Daye and Toby and Tybalt and Conner have a double date. Not! But still to see all the wonderful misadventures Toby has and gets out of them.
Oh, Random Number Generator, don't pick me, don't pick me. There is no excitement here about having another fabulous entry in the Toby Daye series. None at all. Don't pay attention to the person bouncing up and down at the thought of it - that just your Random Imagination.

(well, if the opposite approach is NOT supposed to work, just maybe....)
I'm SO looking forward to seeing what adventure Toby has to take me on this time! Hoping for more Spike activity too--and I want to know what May's up to!

All hail the random number generator! *handwaves*
It's kind of cool that the arcs for Late Eclipses are going to arrive to readers, most likely, late for the Solstice eclipse!
Eeep! New Toby book!
I'm looking forward to Late Eclipses because three books in, I'm just getting comfortable with the world-building, and I don't want it to end. This doesn't always happen; actually, it tends not to, because a surprising number of urban fantasy books with lead heroines tend to overbalance and become alllllllll about the romance. Which is fine, as long as it's a component of someone's life, but if I wanted to read paranormal romance, I would still be reading Anita Blake books. (Yes, I used to read those. OH OLD SHAME.)

(And then I promptly contradict myself and admit that my inner 17-year-old is like TOBY/TYBALT NOW NOW NOW and bouncing up and down. Rather a lot like...my outward 30-year-old, actually.)
Ooo! I've been looking forward to Late Eclipses basically since the day An Artificial Night came out. In fact, since I read it that day, it really is since then. I can't wait to see what happens next!
I am super excited to read more of Toby's story!!! I seriously wish that I had started to read the books when they were all out ;)

...I suck at waiting. :D
Random comment is random.

I'm looking forward to Late Eclipses, because I love to see how the title ties in with the story.
Because I finished rereading the other books and... MOAR. :D
I would love to win this arc because my son and I both enjoy reading about Toby.
OHMYGOSHPICKME! Just kidding! I do hope I win though because I read the series in two days when I finally discovered it. (AKA it was finally pointed out to me.)
Because you're excited about it. And a woman who loves evil My Little Ponies has excellent taste.
An ARC would be lovely. :-)
