Looks like those eclipses are right on time.

Yes, it's time for the moment you've all been waiting for: the moment where I give away the first ARC of Late Eclipses, fourth book in the October Daye series. Because I am an enormous dork, I literally waited to open this giveaway until I had my book-specific icon in place. STOP JUDGING ME. I am a dork, I embrace my dorkitude. Anyway...

Who wants to win an ARC? About what I figured. I'll have some more effort-intensive contests in a little bit, but first up, it's our old favorite, the random drawing. To enter, please do the following:

1) Leave a comment on this entry. Leave it as a comment on the entry, please, not on someone else's comment. Comments left on other comments cannot win.

2) That's all.

Please don't comment going "pick me, pick me," if you could be so kind. I don't pick anyone. The random number generator picks the winner, and it is a cruel mistress which has never yet picked a comment containing "pick me." Instead, why not tell me why you're excited about this book? I'd really love to know.

I will choose a winner at 2PM PST on Tuesday, December 21st.

Game on!

oh, hurrah! super exited about the continued adventures of Toby and perhaps seeing what happens with Tybalt *grin*
Entered!
\o/

I just utterly love these books. They're up in my top~ maybe five favorite UF series (possibly even top 3). So I am Very Excited to see what's coming next. *g*
I am so excited about the fourth book! This remains one of my favorite urban fantasy series because the characters are all so compelling, so credible. I love Toby because she's strong without being heartless, and because that strength doesn't mean she's invulnerable. I can't wait to see what happens next!
So excited for new books! *Happy Dance*
Also, Joyful Yule to you and yours and may the new year be bright and full of all good things! (and kitty treats for the furkids)
I am also a lover of the King of Cats, so any chance to see more of him makes me happy. The last book was so perfect and happy making to all my favorite faerie folklore/mythic bits, I NEED MORE. :) Anything with the Wild Hunt always gets my attention, and it was fun and interesting to see the development of Toby's relationship with the Luideag. I am also vaguely worried that a body count is gonna come, and Quentin may die.
Must. Know. What. Happens. Next.

There. Now that I am revealed to be junkie for Toby's world and story, I shall sit by, try to control my shakes, mark the calendar, and hope. ;)

I'm really excited to read the fourth book because I can't wait to jump back into Toby's world. I love the magical setting of San Francisco and all the wonderful characters.
Random number generators are my friend.
I want this book because urban fantasy detective noir hits several of my favorite genres and subgenres in a way that nothing else does, and yours are some of the best of that subsubgenre.
I love books. My love of them has led to reading genres of all sorts. Unlike Heavy Metal music, I have yet to find one I don't get something from. I put it that way because nonfiction, documentaries, and history are not my cup of tea most of the time. I'm a fan of fiction.

Sadly, I'm not familiar with your series. Worse, if I win, I don't know if I'll get up to speed without first reading the prior three. But I applaud you for your random drawings and your contests. I hope you have fun.
Thank you for doing these give-aways

While I know the random-number generator doesn't care, if I win I will post a review on my LJ
*bouncy excited entry*
I'm excited because I really want to know what happens next!
I would love to win, because I've wanted to know what happens next for FOREVER. But it could also be bad, because that means waiting that much longer for the NEXT one.
I'm excited because it's a new Toby book! And, well, if Tybalt happens to be involved, I'll be even happier. :-)

Happy Yule to you & yours.
I'm excited for Late Eclipses because my best friend and I are totally into the books and love dishing on them together, and speculating on what comes next!
I would LOVE an ARC! Thank you for this!

I read the first three books in a week, tried to order the fourth, and realised... I had to wait. I'm not good at waiting! Awesome books :)
The reason I'm excited: I love the feel of ARC on my body.
You just made me spit Coke on my screen. Thanks. *grin*
I love how much Toby has grown over the past three books and I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of place she's in after An Artificial Night.
Excited!

Why? Because I love the careful, detailed world-building, the fact that Toby (unlike so many fantasy heroines) has limits and hardships that don't get hand-waved away (oh, she has to eat and sleep and recover from injuries? MADNESS YOU SAY), and the depth and foibles of the fully-realised characters. Wonderful series, cannot wait for the next books! :)
A gentleman wouldn't make a joke here about wanting to embrace your dorkitude. I'm not going to either, but that's because I can't think of one that isn't overly obvious.
Ooh! Yes, add me to the drawing, please.

Excited: New Toby! New book! New book with Toby in it! What's not to love?
I'm really looking forward to Late Eclipses. Count me in!
