Some things are beautiful because they are timeless and universal. A mountain at sunset. A baby rattlesnake coiled on a smooth rock. Pigeons. Other things are beautiful because they're specific and familiar. Like, say, two fluffy, enormous blue cats relaxing in a bed with orange sheets, surrounded by Halloween pillows and weird stuffed toys. (Appearing in this picture, we have Amberlee the Velociraptor and Oleander the Blue-Ringed Octopus.) I think that's pretty specific, don't you?
So do they.
This picture is a few weeks old now, which is why Alice looks so annoyed, and why Thomas is so damn small (he's already expanded by about 1/3, and may be bigger in the morning). But behold their green and orange eyes!
Happy holidays, no matter what holiday you choose to surround yourself with while you sleep.
I'm being lazy. I seem to recall that you get your kitties from a breeder as they are Maine Coon cats, yes? We are all missing Kiki horribly and would like bring two kitties home with us sooner than later. I always regretted not getting Kiki a companion when she was wee. By the time we could really properly afford to get her a companion she would have NOTHING of any other animal. So we were her family. This time around I can haz tow! I'm not sure if we'll go with rescue kittens from ARF or purebreds but I'd be curious and am ready to launch into some serious research. Obviously, whatever I get has to deal with chirrens in the house. Ballerina and Chunk are each different beasts and we may yet spawn one more and who knows what that one will be like.
This probably should be a personal message. Eh. You can ignore me if you like or you can hit me at my lj name at yahoo.
Alice and Thomas came from Pinecoon Cattery: www.pinecoon.com. Their cats are always beautiful, friendly, affectionate, smart, and immense. I don't know when their next litter will be available; none of their girls are currently pregnant.
Yes, we love the Maine Coon fluff. (Sort of like faire dust and fire retardant). And the little boys grow large over night. Yeti sprouted his adult fur over a short 4-5 day run to visit my relatives in Oregon. We came back and he'd fluffed like a dandelion.
OMG, you have a blue-ringed stuffed octopus? Me WANTS! Awesome, really. Plus, the coonie cats are awesome, too. My coonie mixes got awesome winter fur. I find it *everywhere*.
Oh such pretty kitties. Thomas is certainly gaining on Alice!
While we're at our quote of five cats, I gotta admit seeing your blue Coons make me want them for the next generation... if I get an orange one as well they'd match our dinnerware!!
Yay, kittehs! Been looking at Maine Coon mixes in the shelters lately, they're lovely and floofy. Alice looks like she's thinking 'Take him back!' lol.
