Winter giveaway #5: A GILDED LIGHT, random drawing.

It's time for the fifth winter giveaway, and for me to get a little bit odd (yes, even by local standards). See, the book I'm giving away this time is one I didn't write: In A Gilded Light, by Jennifer Brozek. Why am I giving it away? Because I wrote the introduction, which makes this key to having a complete collection, as well as being a just plain awesome book.

Again, this is a random drawing—leave a comment, potentially win a book. Yes, if you're winning it for someone else, I will happily mail it to them. I'm afraid I can't promise to have it signed for you unless you want to wait until after New Year's for me to mail the book, since Jennifer isn't technically local, but the book remains bad-ass, even sans signature.

[1] To be fair, even if you hadn't introduced it, I would still be highly diverted by you signing it. Whereas I would never bring a book not written/something-else by the author to a signing session, as that would feel rude. [2]

[2] Except once. But that was a year-long planned thing where I ordered the book especially off Amazon, and made a cover for it to disguise it as the other book it really was. It was a wonderful cover. And Neil Gaiman was very amused, and signed it the book properly [3]

[3] And I really need to get off my butt and post this Anticipation story into my blog. I didn't post-Anticipation because I came back to town to the news of a death in the family, and didn't feel much like posting anything then.
