It just keeps on getting better...

Publishers Weekly has released their list of the Best Books of 2010. Including their selections for the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror.

Feed made the list.

I am genuinely overjoyed. It's also a nice change from focusing on trying to breathe without hacking up a lung, that having been my previous activity for the morning. I wrote one of the Best Books of 2010! OH MY SWEET GREAT PUMPKIN AND PIE.

This isn't very coherent, in part because I don't have it in me to be coherent right now. Mostly, I just have it in me to be flailing wildly, and totally ecstatic.

Squee.

Woo-hoo! Congratulations!

Now, if I could just get the spousebeast to hurry up and finish it so *I* can read it. The boy snatched it right out from under my nose, and it was my birthday present. Merph.
This demands immediate action; your spousebeast must go out and Buy A Copy Of The Book For Himself.

Well, that's what I think. Since I haven't had a stable relationship ever, my advice isn't worth the electrons used for the period at the end of this sentence.
I agree with you in theory. However, this place is so crammed with books (and cds...and art supplies) that duplicates are, dare I say, redundant? ;)

We were in a long distance relationship for six years, so when we finally moved in together 2 years ago, we discovered A LOT of overlap. "Well, you said it was a great book/cd/movie, so I bought a copy." I don't think we ever really believed we'd have to merge collections.

Oh, and he has no idea what awaits when we get the stuff that is currently stored with my grandparents since my divorce lo, so many years ago. Granma said that at last count, the boxes of my notebooks and journals not included, there are 38 boxes of books I have to contend with.

So I think I'll just wait until he finishes the book and snicker quietly to myself. ;)
