Toby Daye book giveaway!

I feel like giving things away (I know you all love it when I do that). Specifically, I feel like giving away copies of the Toby Daye books. Want to win a book? Then come play my game. What game are we playing today?

Six word biography.

It's simple: leave a comment on this entry with a six word biography of yourself. They can be serious, silly, or anything in-between. Here are some examples for me:

"I've always been a cornfield girl."
"Halloweentown princess seeks candy corn, companionship."
"I did it all for dreaming."

Indicate which of the three books you're interested in. On Saturday, I'll use the random number generator to select three winners, one for each book. You can only win once, but you can ask for all three books, if that's what rings your chimes.

Game on!

Internet Privateer has letter of marque!

May I request A Local Habitation?
Barefoot bookworm loves cats and dreaming.

May I request An Artificial Night?

AngelVixen :-)

"Strange and charming. Like the quarks".

I'd be interested in a signed copy of An Artifical Night please- my favourite of the three.

Great contest. First book, please.

"Walking the labyrinth. Forgot my string."

Fox meant for transportation of books

Third...not that I don't have a copy yet but it would let me corrupt another person ;-)
"Wearing gloves while typing...summer's over."
"Facing paralysis? I can still dance."

I'd like Rosemary and Rue, if I won, please.

Dumpster-diving, swingset-climbing wheelchair escapee!
Still learning to interact with mundanes.
Oh, and An Artificial Night please.
"Danger to myself. Rarely to others."
Love me, love my cats...'kay?
Reporter looks for truth in darkness.
"Waiting for the war to end"

Rosemary and Rue, please!
"Recovering human being making her way."

Rosemary and Rue
A Local Liabitation
An Artifical Night

But honestly, whatever you send would be spectacular.
Coping with it all through sarcasm.

I would very much like a signed copy of Rosemary and Rue, but, if my number came up on it, I would also take A Local Habitation.
Attacks life from very difficult angles.

Manages to arrive by traveling blindfolded.

Has excellent times while completely lost.

Loves kittens, chickens, and stompy robots.

Would probably snark through own funeral.

Would take any with Seanan’s signature.
Philosopher turned lawyer, arguer for hire.

I'd like "A Local Habitation" if I win, please. :)
"Should totally play Ophelia, says friend."

"Short girl with a big heart."

"Girl makes fool of herself, laughs."

"Child of music, words, and movement."

Any of the three, please. Preference is #3, but I can easily pass on the other two to the local library or someone I know who'd love the series.
Slightly obsessed with sound. Baking helps.

I'd very much like a copy of Rosemary and Rue since I own the other two.
I'd love ALH, as it is my favorite of the three...

Finder of things, seeking good life.

"Thinks in pictures, dreams in scenes."

Any of the three. Since I have copies of each, I would be donating them to the local library. :)
"Multiple media artist likes science too."

"Writer artist healer witch performer THUD."

"Making pretty pictures of dead and live."

"Multiple directions, partial insanity, no waiting."

An Artificial Night
Always prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse.

Any book :)
I know you didn't mean an autobiographical poem with six word lines. But that's what I got, so I give it to you.

She still keeps the sea shells

that she used to live in

though she can't fit in them

no more. They think she's hoarding

and she can't explain that she's

only her own girl next door.

She loves comfort food, and her

comfortable bed, with the comforter

so thick and white. Comfortable books

soothe the voice in her head

Until she turns out the light

But she's not a comfortable girl

Though she moves at comfortable speed

Hugging the comfortable, rolling curved hips

That take her wherever she needs

She never thought she was immortal

She never thought kisses could heal

She never thought what she needed

Made a difference to what's real

she knows that wishes are horses

that we ride to a land

ours alone. But she'd rather remain

where the faces aren't all hers

peaking out through masks of bone

Even if it takes all of her comforts

to make it feel almost like home.

She knows it's time to move on.

But it's so hard to find

an apartment with room for the

sea shells that's she's left behind.
...this is incredible.

Bipedal mammal with delusions of immortality.
Glad he took the red pill.

I'd love any of the three books, even though I already own 'em. :-)
