That is srsly cool, and with the Campbell credit as well (are they going to reprint the others with that now, so our pre-Campbell ones will become collectors' copies?). So I've lost track, how many of the Toby books are bought now? I take it this means that Late Eclipses is welll in the pipeline, since it has a cover.

The last I remember, DAW had bought five.

I think that the number is going to go up at some time in the next six months. I don't have any inside knowledge; I'm just assuming that between "best new writer" and continued good sales, DAW isn't going to let go.

Can NOT wait! *bounces and squees* Gimme, gimme, gimme! Toby just gets Toby-er, on every cover, but that doesn't surprise me, because the illustrator is getting to know her better and better, just as we are. *g*

And I think the Campbell Award tag is just awesome. Way to remind EVERYONE that YOU are the Princess of the Tiara. ;)

OMIGODS OMIGODS THIS IS SO EXCITING! That is truly one of the prettiest book covers I have ever seen.

(Also, Toby looks like some of my cousins on my father's side, which is interesting to me.)

I think this may be the best-lit cover yet. Not that there's any reason that the previous covers should have had more light, just that I like covers with enough light for good contrast.

Toby looks very much herself, with the dress giving the impression of Court formal, the leather jacket as a symbol of her human side, and her knife and whatever-that-is in her right hand representing her heroic nature.

For a change of pace, she doesn't look like somebody magically decaffeinated all the coffee in the house.

I love the dress plus leather jacket thing. How very Toby. I assume the title will wind up some sort of OMG NEON like the other ones. It is a VERY awesome cover. Plus SQUEEEEE!!!! on the Campbell award note :-)

took 5 mins to load on son's little netbook, but worth the wait, As soon as I saw half the face I was thinking Toby is looking very Toby. I feel I'd recognise her in the street. I know you won't tell me what's with the orb she's holding, whether it's a receptacle, or belongs to a monarch's jewels. Lovely cover.
