"Let's go spend the night doing something stupid and suicidal."

Welcome to September. Half the month is already gone, and that means it's time for another mile along the route that runs from Sparrow Hill to the Last Chance Diner; it's time to take another trip in the company of Rose Marshall, crankiest hitchhiking ghost this side of the Atlantic Ocean. We only have four more stops before we reach the end of this particular road trip, and things are getting a little darker all the time.

Issue 57 of The Edge of Propinquity is live, and with it, the ninth of the Sparrow Hill Road stories is available. "Last Train" marks the return of someone Rose was really hoping she wouldn't have to see again, and more, the payment of a debt she knew would come due sooner or later. It's going to be a bad night all around.

There are a lot of stories trapped and tangled in the twilight. This is only one of them. But it's the one I have to tell.

Welcome to the ghostroads.

I literally was thinking about the next time I would be spending some quality time with a Rose story this morning - not even paying attention to publication dates or deadlines. (I'm also good at knowing when to put more quarters in the parking meter.)

I'd babble, but I'd spoil. ^^ Let's just say no words were wasted in the telling of this one, shall we?
Thank you!
Sounds like a Jill Tracy song. :)
Which part?
The title is just so close to, "a wicked night together."

And the description, "There are a lot of stories trapped and tangled in the twilight." Turns my mind to that song even more.

I haven't finished the story yet (raid night), but it looks intriguing.

Just an obvious comment from a twisted mind who listens to jill tracy, but thats kind of redundant.
I love Jill Tracy so.
Stupid and suicidal is kinda redundant. In any case, from this cash strapped character, here's hoping the tome sees some serious sales.
These stories are posted online, where they are available to read, at any time, for free.
In my opinion, "stupid" includes many things that are not lethal, and "suicidal" does not necessarily require stupidity.

But that's just my opinion.
I tend to agree with you.
I love the Rose stories, and I'm hoping once I get a little cash to pick up some of your other stuff.
Yay! On both counts!
Yay! I love these stories sooo much!
I am very glad.
Does this mean her debt is paid in full now, or only in part?
Paid in full. Because damn, Bethany is annoying.
Yes. Yes she is.

I'm sure Rose is glad she doesn't have that hanging over her head anymore, though... (omgwhat, there are only three left, aren't there? :o)
Two left, now...
*pout* link's not working for me
...dude. Thanks for the heads-up; I'm going to alert my editor.
I've been a little late getting to it this month, but the timing worked out perfectly. I'll be driving to Indiana tomorrow.

If I see Rose by the side of the road, of course I'll give her a ride.
Thank you.
