Leave a comment, win an ARC.

It's time for everyone's favorite ARC giveaway, the random drawing. To participate...

1) Leave a comment. As a reply to the entry, please, not as a reply to someone else's comment.
2) That's all.

I will select the winner of a signed ARC of An Artificial Night, the third October Daye adventure, at noon Pacific time on Friday, June 18th. The winner will have until Sunday evening to provide me with a mailing address; otherwise, I'll pick another winner. The winner will be chosen via random number generation.

So comment, and tell me why you're excited about book three! Maybe you could win an early look!

-flails about in a manner most Muppet-like in the hope she'll get the book just a little bit sooner-

(Though I'll still be buying at least three copies... one for me, one for mom, one for Emma. If I get the ARC it's one for mom, one for Emma, and one for my brother, since I think his head may explode if he doesn't get more Toby soon.)
Yay!

Toby rocks. The Luidaeg is cool. I like the Luidaeg.
You know, the general excitement of the next book in a fun and interesting series coming out.
I'm excited about book three because these books have a way of making me lose time. I start reading, and when I surface for air it's suddenly five hours later. Needless to say, they are no longer bedtime reading; they're set-aside-a-good-chunk-of-time-and-turn-off-the-phone reading.
Well, firstly, Seanan Mcguire book release parties are a BLAST! Secondly, actually reading the books is even MORE fun (except when mean old Seanan, or Mira, kill someone you like....Boo!).

I'm trying to avoid spoilers of any kind, so I'll leave it at that.
MOAR TYBALT!
More Toby! More Toby and this one involves a very cool title and running around San Francisco and Tybalt and MORE TOBY.
I'm looking forward to AAN because we will be in LA shortly after release day, and I will be able to pick one up in an actual bookstore months before the official Australian release date - and if it's anything like R&R and ALH, they will be "released" here, but never actually materialise into any bookstore in the country (always listed as 'out of stock' with the suppliers) and I'd have to order it through Amazon anyway :(

I'd much rather support a bricks-and-mortar bookstore - the smaller the better...

Plus, you know, TOBEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Ahem. Yes, I'm done :D
Because Toby is awesome and sneak peeks are even more awesome!
I'm excited about the third book because I've been reading your journal since before the first book was published and greatly enjoying seeing you get all the good things you earned.

I'd be doubly excited to get an ARC of the third book because I've never had an ARC of a book before and it seems like such an exciting thing. :-D
I've finished Feed and clearly need another new book to read!
Hi,

Please add me to the ARC contest - thank you!
Sorry, I forgot to add, that I'm excited about reading the 3rd book of October Daye, as I just started the series and I'm enjoying it very much! Thank you.
This is a comment!

It is hard for me to be excited right now, because finals eats my brain. I am very excited about Sunday, when my vacation starts. One of my plans for the vacation is to read the first two Toby books finally (I have them, I just haven't *read* them). Getting an ARC of the third would be awesome because then they'd all be right in a row.
I'm excited about book three because I actually kinda relate to how Toby withdrew from people in Rosemary in Rue. I don't need the narrators of books to have similar personalities to mine--very often, especially in UF, they don't even come close. But it is nice to have at least one character do something where I can think, "that's the way I would have wanted to handle that" and then watch the resulting fallout. It's refreshing to see a character screw up in a way I can understand. And I want to see where she goes and how she changes from there.
Hooray for random number generation! This is going to be a lot of numbers.

I am looking forward to the third book for an ongoing fix of Toby, and hopefully my other favorites, including the Luidaeg and Tybalt. And Spike and the cats. ;)
I hope you are doing well.

I bought Rosemary and Rue book on the strength of my local booksellers word. When I started to read it I devoured it and was lucky A Local Habitation came out quite soon after I was done. Waiting has been a quiet torture.

I can't believe I need to wait longer to read it.

Thank you!
Woo ARC contest! I am excited about An Artificial Night because:

1. I want to see Toby's new car get destroyed;

2. Listening to Tybalt be crytic, sarcastic and brooding is totally hot; and

3. Faerie is awesome.

Also, as a sidenote: bring on WorldCon!
I want to see what happens NEXT!
Holy shit. I am so excited about An Artificial Night. It's a Toby book, it's a freaking Toby book, and I've actually picked up the first two Toby books and when I'm not tearing my hair out working two jobs and running my own business and volunteering to save the world, I WILL BE READING THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE TOBY BOOKS AND JUST STALKING YOU HAS ME HOOKED.

....move along, nothing to see here, no frothing at the mouth, no....
I want the ARC!!!
I want to know if Toby will make peace with her daughter.
If her daughter will have to pass through the fairy test.
I want to know what was the explanation about her disappereance?
Couldn't she have staged like she had amnesia? Wouldn't they have understand that?

LOVE YOUR WORK!!!! :)

P.D: Hope you are feeling better seeing you are posting and stuff :)
Looking forward to AAN, im sure it as good as the previous two :D
Book three, oh my gosh! I'm super-excited because I keep meeting or making new Toby fans and it's something new to squee over with them!
I'm excited as I'm dying to know who these missing kids are (as per the blurb in the back of ALH) and what candlewax has to do with anything, and if we'll find out what the hell is up between Tybalt and Toby. The promise of more Lily doesn't exactly dampen my enthusiasm, either.
And also because I re-read the first two books and FEED over the last week and I'm hungering for more.
I'm willing to play! :-) And for such a worthy prize, too!
