Sunil: Last night there was a giant spider on my ceiling.
Me: Did it skitter over your face in the night?
Sunil: I HATE YOU.
Sunil: (I considered opening this conversation with, "Seanan, do you promise not to make any characteristically Seanan comments?")
Me: Leg leg leg leg leg leg leg leg...
Me: (That would have been wise, yes.)

I love my friends.

Reminds me of an old friend who lives in Australia, who wrote me a horrified email telling how she'd woken up that morning to find a brown huntsman on her pillow. And she helpfully attached a link to the Wikipedia page on it, as well as one to an LJ post showing the tips of one's legs just peeking out from behind a wall clock.

. . . "I hate you" was the calmest response I made to her. ::shudders::
