I am absolutely delighted to announce the cover release for Nebelbann, the German edition of A Local Habitation. ("Nebelbann" means, roughly, "mist-spell" or "mist-ban." It's a really spiffy compound word, and I'm thrilled.) This is being released by Egmont, my German publisher, and the cover design was done by the artist who designed the cover of Winterfluch.
Behold the pretty:
It's so different from my US covers, and so pretty, that I honestly couldn't be happier. I'm really happy.
My copy of Winterfluch just arrived in today's post (Thank you, Powell's, for making it easy to buy the German editions from an indy bookstore) and it's lovely, through and through. I also like the inside front and back covers, which also have graphic content, in keeping with the Euro trade paperback style that has fold-out covers sort of like hardback book jackets.

And I love that they used Beckett's picture of me on the dust jacket (and credited her). Classy.
