Check it out! The cover for NEBELBANN!

I am absolutely delighted to announce the cover release for Nebelbann, the German edition of A Local Habitation. ("Nebelbann" means, roughly, "mist-spell" or "mist-ban." It's a really spiffy compound word, and I'm thrilled.) This is being released by Egmont, my German publisher, and the cover design was done by the artist who designed the cover of Winterfluch.

Behold the pretty:

It's so different from my US covers, and so pretty, that I honestly couldn't be happier. I'm really happy.

What do you think?

Pretty! :D
Yes!
That's not Toby on the cover though, is it? (On the other hand, there are plenty of pretty-pretty people it can be, and that is a very nice cover.)

Congrats on the foreign language sales!
Yes, that is Toby.

She's not ugly. She doesn't wear much makeup, as a rule, but she's not unfortunate-looking, and the coloring of that model is completely accurate.

OOoOOoOoOoohhhh!

I want one of these too! :)
Me, too.
Very pretty!

Er, is Jessie's girl bring you DDP yet? ;)
Sadly, no. Stupid Jessie's girl.

Everything about that cover is gorgeous: the picture, the font, the background - I love it!
I'm really thrilled. So pretty!
Oh that's very pretty... I really like the lush background and the teeny tiny little pink fairy under your name. ;)
It's so nicely done.
abolutely beautiful!
Glee.
OMG Perfect! It's wonderful!

I really adore my German publisher.
That's one of the few great german cover arts. You can be very happy that you got not just one but now two great artworks! I know that I only bought your first book because of the great cover. I was walking through the bookshelves and there in was... it looked so pretty among all the other books. :)
I've been really overjoyed with Egmont and the way they've designed my covers. They're so nice! And they look so pretty alongside the American editions, too. :)
I really love the colors and the whole background in general. And the font is pretty darn cool. Swirly A!
It does a dance!
Shiny!! Very, very nice. Although I think the US covers better reflect the nitty-gritty world that Toby actually lives in.
I almost view it as real world/Summerlands, which makes it a fantastic contrast.
That is a *gorgeous* cover.

What means the "Roman" under the title? something to do with the way it is typeset?
It means "novel" in German.

Ooooooooooh.
Shiny. :)
Looks good :)
I'm pleased.
Nice. :)
I have the glee.
I guess it's partly because I know it's German, but there is something that says "German fantasy novel" about that cover. I guess there is a "house style" of sorts for each nation's publishers. The way that the old UK Discworld covers would have never, ever been used in the US.
Exactly. Every region has their own indicators of genre and content.
Oh, THAT is gorgeous! I wonder if there's any way to get a print of that, for hanging on my wall?
I've asked!
Gorgeous cover! :)
Thanks!
Oh, that's gorgeous!
I squealed.
That's an awfully pretty cover. I was put in mind of the nibelungs from Wagner. I don't know if there'd be an actual association in German, or if the words are just spelled similarly but actually have no more in common than "horse" and "hoard."
I think they're just spelled similarly.
Preeeeeety.
Yes!
That's prettier than ours!
It's different. I love them both.
I'm waiting for my copy of "A Local Habitation" not in stock at warehouse so will have to wait for it to wing over the ocean. Have pre-ordered feed, they tell me should be available in June.

Bookcover very pretty.
Yay!
Oooooh.... pretty!!!

Totally.
It looks like such a fairytale cover... so pretty! I want one, even though my German is only rudimentary.
I have no German and all, and I love having them in the house.
