I need to do some .PDF conversion for the Hugo/Campbell Voting Packet. Does anybody out there have the capacity and want to help me out? I can look endearing with the best of them, and may even be able to rustle up some sort of prize, assuming you don't mind risking receipt of, y'know, a bat-shaped hair clip or something.
Also, I'm just about done inputting the receipts for the "save a receipt, win a book" Toby contest, and should have a winner Monday. Tuesday is the official release date of Feed, so if you buy the book on or after this date, remember to save your receipt; I'll be having another contest, this one, hopefully, with less confusion on my end.
Keeping this short—Vixy and I are heading back to Kristoph's for a long, hard, glorious day of recording awesomeocity. So I'll catch you soon!
I could do it, but it looks like you already have more than enough volunteers. I'm actually commenting because:
I have Feed! I found it at one of the Ann Arbor Borders stores today.
The good news: I found eight copies on the shelf, including a forward-facing stack. Middle shelf (luck of the alphabetization), so it was very visible.
The not-as-good-news: It wasn't on the featured paperbacks rack at the front of the store, at least not yet.
The "Is that right?" news: It was shelved with Science Fiction and Fantasy, not with Horror.
My one disappointment: The current Borders Rewards member coupon is 33% off any one item. Had it been a full third, that would have brought the price to $6.66, which would have been incredibly cool. But at $6.69, I had to settle for a slightly inflated beast. :)
The not-as-good news: It seems to be migrating, at least in local stores.
The "is that right?" news: Yes, that's correct. The book is more future thriller/political dystopia than straight horror, and hopefully people who find it in the SF/F section won't be as put out by the lack of massive carnage.
