.PDF help needed.

I need to do some .PDF conversion for the Hugo/Campbell Voting Packet. Does anybody out there have the capacity and want to help me out? I can look endearing with the best of them, and may even be able to rustle up some sort of prize, assuming you don't mind risking receipt of, y'know, a bat-shaped hair clip or something.

Also, I'm just about done inputting the receipts for the "save a receipt, win a book" Toby contest, and should have a winner Monday. Tuesday is the official release date of Feed, so if you buy the book on or after this date, remember to save your receipt; I'll be having another contest, this one, hopefully, with less confusion on my end.

Keeping this short—Vixy and I are heading back to Kristoph's for a long, hard, glorious day of recording awesomeocity. So I'll catch you soon!

This is because you are wonderful. Thank you, darlin'.
I can probably help. What's your deadline? And no prize needed: I'll do it just because I <3 you.
My deadline is May 2nd; I'm hoping I have it taken care of.
I have Acrobat, so I can do it for you. Wanna shoot the docs over to me? lilrongalATgmail.com
Awesome. I'll let you know if I still need this.
Thanks for the tip.

I use the PDF995 print driver. If the app has a print function, I can make a PDF.

Edit on 10:08 AM, 4/24/2010: Oh yeah, and it's a free download if you can deal with the ads it pops up when you use it.
prefer CutePDF myself... no silly ads.

I can do it. Cheers and hugs!
I have arm-twisted Rae. Thank you!
I've got Acrobat Professional. If you still need someone to do this for you, shoot me an e-mail.
You are a darling, and I am covered.
I can do this, and so can any of your other Mac-enabled friends. :)

(You might check in your Print dialog to see if "Adobe PDF" or similar is an option -- I know it is on my work computers, so you might be able to do it too.)
Thanks for the pointer.
Open Office can do it but may screw up formatting done by word.
Good to know!
I can do it. I run Pages, which is the Apple equivalent of Word. It lets me export a .doc into a few other formats, including .pdf. Let me know if you haven't found someone already! :)
I'm good, but thank you.
I can help out as well - can convert from .doc and just about any other format you can throw at me.
I'm covered for now. Thank you so much for offering to help.

I could do it, but it looks like you already have more than enough volunteers. I'm actually commenting because:

I have Feed! I found it at one of the Ann Arbor Borders stores today.

The good news: I found eight copies on the shelf, including a forward-facing stack. Middle shelf (luck of the alphabetization), so it was very visible.

The not-as-good-news: It wasn't on the featured paperbacks rack at the front of the store, at least not yet.

The "Is that right?" news: It was shelved with Science Fiction and Fantasy, not with Horror.

My one disappointment: The current Borders Rewards member coupon is 33% off any one item. Had it been a full third, that would have brought the price to $6.66, which would have been incredibly cool. But at $6.69, I had to settle for a slightly inflated beast. :)

I use http://www.dopdf.com/

It installs as a printer, but produces a PDF instead of actual paper
Nice!
I can help with the PDF, but it looks like you've got that sorted.

Also, I bought Feed today, am I still eligible for the contest?
Still sorting that out, but I'll keep you posted.
If you downloadeded Open Office you could open your .doc in Open Office and check formatting with your own eyes.

Then when you are happy just go, File - Export as - pdf
Good to know!

Betas make me nervous.
What exactly do you mean? OpenOffice can save files to PDF format. For anything else, I don't know.
OpenOffice is also free. Always.

I am of no use, but BAT-SHAPED HAIR CLIP!
Yup. SO COOL.
Plenty of volunteers upstream and you've possibly already used them for what you need but raising my hand too. :)
Whee!
