Comment to win an ARC of FEED.

And now the time has come. The time to give away an ARC of Feed via that time-honored tradition, the random draw. So...

1) Comment here.
2) Tell me your favorite thing about zombies, if you like.
3) Or you can tell me you're excited about the book. Whatever.
4) That's all.

I will draw a winner Monday morning (April 12th); entries will be accepted until then. This contest is open to all countries, because postage is spendy, but zombies are love. One entry per person, please.

Game on!

The first thing that caught my attention with this book was the cover. A bloody RSS symbol. That grabbed me enough to want to know more about the book. And the idea of a zombie apocalypse set in a world where there *are* zombie movies and books to consult is such a rarity that it made me even more interested. In fact, the more I read, the more determined I became to get the book.

Plus, you've been getting rave reviews from an acquaintance who briefly provided you with a bed when you arrived at WorldCon in Montreal, so it became even more interesting.
I can't wait till the book comes out!!
Zombies are a rather diverse group of beings.
I'm excited about Zombies! Also looking forward to finding whag seciton of the bookstore it will be in!
Let's see, I like zombies that are SUPER SCARY FAST, because they scare me more. :) I'd love to read your take on them, and I'll be interested to see how this compares to your other series!
Lately, despite having met Seanan in person, I've strangely pictured her as Fiona, the young lead from "The Secret of Roan Inish." I'm not sure exactly how this image became lodged in my head. It may have something to do with her version of "Still Catch the Tide" on Stars Fall Home. It may be because there is a resemblance between Seanan and the actress who played Fiona.
My current theory involves Seanan's My Little Pony philosophy of cuteness and badassedness. Having the arsenal of acerbic wit, imagination, unceasing output, and the power to belt out ballads bringing a room to tears and cheers, it's only natural that Seanan have a ridiculously cute appearance...hence, Fiona.
How does this relate to Zombies? Well, when FEED comes out, Zombie Seanan's got to chase cutsie badass Seanan out of my head, right? Right?
UNLESS ZOMBIE SEANAN IS CUTSIE BADASS ZOMBIE SEANAN!!!!!
How can i not be excited about another story from you? Really?

Favorite thing about zombies at the moment? The vast amoutns of group love they can generate :)
Spent my whole weekend playing Zombies!!! (with my son Friday, new-to-me gaming group Saturday, with both of my kids today). Due to the vast number of librarians at the game Saturday evening and the fun conversations that went with the game we've also ensured another order of Feed *grin* (1 page, 2 part timers, 1 full-time librarian...yes, my library is a fun place full of great people!)(even more than most). Well, should say another LIBRARY order; plus at least 2 planned personal purchases :)

Yay zombies!
I like zombies because the used to be like us, but now they are rotting, flesh eating mosters.
I am commenting! My favorite thing about zombies is that I can SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD AND THEY DIE. *shudders*
1) Comment Here Check
2) Favourite thing about zombies: They apparently confuse cauliflower with brains. That's just awesomeness.
3) Excited about book! YEAH!
4) That's all.
I love that zombies are highly focused!

I loved the first two October Daye novels and can't wait to pick up Feed!
I'm excited that there is more to this book than *just* zombies. That really rocks.
BRAIIIINS.
The thing I like about zombies: "Brainnnsss."
I think my favorite thing is that despite their grusomeness, they make me laugh. The stiff walk, the grumbling speech... yeah, I'm sick like that. I get humor out of gross things.

Zombies actually scare the living daylights out of me, but I still want to read your series involving them. (Mostly because A) I love your writing, and B) I love bio-science geekery, and it sounds like you had a lot of fun researching that and other topics for this series.)
Favourite thing about zombies? That they inspired Shawn of the Dead... and Feed :)
Love your work, so expecting great things from this, but no pressure.
I think what I like most about zombies (and I'm only just starting to read about them) is that they lend themselves to appearing in a wide variety of genres. I like the combination of post-apocalyptic settings and zombies, and also works that use zombies is a more folklore based, fantastical manner.
I think my favorite thing about zombies is that if Disney tries to make them go over the cliff, like the lemmings, they eat the camera crew.
My favorite thing about zombies is that there's no regret when you kill them. They aren't hippie mother-goddess worshiping werewolves, or vampires who think they're superior to humans, or aliens who have just as much a right to live as we do. They may wear the body of your best friend -- but there's nothing left, he wants to eat your brains, and it's you or him!
I got my "shipped" notification for A Local Habitation yesterday, and it *looks* like they even applied the address change correctly! Am very much looking forward to that - and also to at some point reading Feed and seeing what that's like. I'm pretty sure I'll like it, too. :)
aieee, here's a comment, am I too late?

Zombies make excellent sponge cake ... I don't know why, they just do.

And I'm excited about the book!
I've got to agree that I'm excited by the book. Zombies are actually pretty damn scary. They're afraid of nothing and want to eat you.

At least Vampires you can just NOT invite them in. :p
