Comment to win an ARC of FEED.

And now the time has come. The time to give away an ARC of Feed via that time-honored tradition, the random draw. So...

1) Comment here.
2) Tell me your favorite thing about zombies, if you like.
3) Or you can tell me you're excited about the book. Whatever.
4) That's all.

I will draw a winner Monday morning (April 12th); entries will be accepted until then. This contest is open to all countries, because postage is spendy, but zombies are love. One entry per person, please.

Game on!

My favorite thing about zombies is how you can use them as a way to discuss real-life survival strategies while having a lot of fun.

And also because they are creepy and awesome.
I know actually very little about zombies, but I love them because they let me make dumb jokes about BRAAAAAAAINS.

And I am busily getting all my friends and colleagues hooked on Toby by dint of lending out my copies of the first two books. As in, I haven't gotten to re-read either of them yet, and I generally re-read books non-stop.
I like zombies for many reasons, but one is how fun it is to dress up as one. Pale male-up, torn clothes, a bit of fake blood and off you shamble!

Very excited for the book!
I would love to read more stuff by you! And, I confess that my current favorite thing about zombies is killing them off in PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies game.
I am excited by how much zombies terrify me. Honest, I have a mad-on phobia/terror of zombies. My fiance, however, loves the genre dearly. I'm excited for Feed because I'm hoping it'll be a 'meet in the middle' book for us.
I think the book is gonna be better than World War Z. There I said it.
I like zombies, well the slow moving shambling kind. The fast moving zombies aren't quite as creepy to me.
I'm excited about the book because I want to see what you've done with the zombies.
I think it's cool that salt is anathema to zombies. I thought the stuff in The Serpent and the Rainbow was kinda neat too.
I am super excited about FEED because it means more conversation fodder about zombie apocalypses with hnmic and my friends!
YAY book!

zombies are better than vampires. especially sparkly vampires.
My favorite thing about zombies is Captain Valor signing Re: Your Brains!

I also love that one of my 8 year old little girl friends pretends to go chomp on her daddy's brains... :-)
I think what I like most about zombies is that anyone can become a member of the shambling horde. Zombies are the great equalizer. :-)
Fave thing about zombie: they are slow, sick and unstoppable in mass numbers.

Can't wait for the book!
I am not all that fond of zombies, but I do want to see if the way you write about them can make me into a fan!
i work with zombies but they are not the fun kind. i would like to read about the fun kind so i can feel better at work.
Braaaaiinnnss!!

(I'm excited about FEED, yes I am!)
My favorite thing about zombies is that when you invite them over, menu planning is so easy.

More seriously, I've never been that much of a zombie fan (though I liked Zombieland, but I'm a major league West Wing fan.
Count me in, please.

I like zombies because, unlike vampires and werewolves, they're discerning enough to have absolutely no interest in Bella from Twilight. They just surround her whenever they come through Forks, sniff her up and down, and shamble off in search of actual brains.
1. Comment, not Comma. drat
2. If you stay downwind, they cant smell you.
3. Most books in theory excite me, like the anticipation of a sugar rush.
4. finis.
Hallo! Zombies are a great subject for quick conversation starters (they're universal!) and they carry weighty social implications.

And your books have been, so far, a treat to read and I anxiously await for Feed.
Zombies are the ideal bad guy for a 'man-against-the-universe' story that explores the spectrum of human responses and emotions when dealing with an unstoppable threat to the protagonist (and humanity).

There are no moral issues with killing zombies.
There isn't an Anti-Zombie Defamation League to ensure the feelings of zombies aren't hurt.
There are no animal rights issues with killing zombies, so PETA won't be bothering us about it.
There are no sexual undertones with zombies, unlike vampires.
There are no troubling social or political issues with going to war with zombies, unlike invading Middle Eastern countries.
There are no 'they have better technology than us' issues with zombies, unlike many invading alien stories.
The unrelenting attacks of zombies are not dependent on James Cameron or McG (yet).
There are no loyalty issues with fighting zombies, unlike a civil war. Either you are a live human or a dead zombie, not a lot of middle ground.
Surviving a zombie apocalypse is all about luck, skill, and will. It has little to do with social standing or wealth.

Finally, it's fun to read about. So hurry up with the book release.

Except in the Discworld.

The dead have rights too!

I have been very interested in reading this book since you started talking about it! And I love Zombies. (I do think that 'Zombies' should be capitalized, as though equivalent to a nationality. Or a race. Or... something.)
I'm actually not a zombie fan. I liked World War Z because it was about the human reaction to zombies as opposed to zombies themselves. I'm interested in Feed for the same reason.

I do like mocking them when they show up in the Inheritance books though.
My favorite thing about Zombies is the hollow melon sound their head makes when it hits the floor.
