Comment to win an ARC of FEED.

And now the time has come. The time to give away an ARC of Feed via that time-honored tradition, the random draw. So...

1) Comment here.
2) Tell me your favorite thing about zombies, if you like.
3) Or you can tell me you're excited about the book. Whatever.
4) That's all.

I will draw a winner Monday morning (April 12th); entries will be accepted until then. This contest is open to all countries, because postage is spendy, but zombies are love. One entry per person, please.

Game on!

I'm excited about the book!

And I kind of dig that zombies have such a sense of PURPOSE.
I love the way zombies shamble aimlessly around the mall, adding to that sense of doom every time you're forced to go out and buy a new pair of pants.

I'm also psyched about the book, big-time.

That is all.
My favorite thing about zombies is the slow, inevitable march of death. And that Michelle Rodriguez is such a badass in Resident Evil, which I am currently watching for the hundredth time.

And I am really, really looking forward to Feed.

I would date a zombie guy, 'cause at least I'd know he was after me for my brains!

*giggles*

Super excited about the book. So. Incredibly. Excited.
I like the zombies in Zombieland. Hell, I think there needs to be a Zombieland TV series!
Zombieland was originally meant to be a TV series and CBS turned it down.
I am excited about the book! I am very excited about the book!

I like that zombies are mindless, shambling horrors that are all the more horrifying because they used to be us (and we could be them!)

Plus, they do a good dance number if you get the right person singing.

I like the entertainment zombies provide in the game Zombies vs. Humans. It's the only time I've heard someone say in real life, "A Human is going to come out of that building in an hour. If you need to feed, go ahead and leave early."

I'm also super-psyched for Feed, because I'm infected with your enthusiasm.
My favorite thing about zombies is that they seem like a morbid parody of Christian afterlife.
Yay, book! My favourite thing about zombies? They're so... squishy. ":-D
I like that zombies are inherently unglamorous. I also like that as much as we joke about zombies, we do so because they are incredibly fucking terrifying to think about too closely (but awesome to discuss in Constitutional Law class, for reals).

And of course I am looking forward to the book!

I love that the slow zombies are inexorable like arctic ice. I love that the fast zombies are terrifying freaks of nature. I love that Barbara Hambly wrote zombies waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in Ladies of Mandrigyn, which terrified the living hell out of me in fifth grade.
Think about it. Zombies are the ultimate evil science weapon. Screw Frankenstein and Igor and them - they don't have that mindless desire to just get those brains, nom those brains, and find MOAR BRAINS. Always MOAR BRAINS. You don't have to worry about your zombie running off to find fuzzy kittens to play with, women to fall in love with, or death by serious electrical storm. Shoot the zombie; the zombie keeps a-coming. Set the zombie on fire; the zombie KEEPS A-COMING. Until there are only little ashy zombie bits, and they'll probably blow in your ears and nom your brains that way. Ultimate weapon. You can't stop them. They don't have serious weakness the way that vampires do, zombie lore is so rich and varied that when the zombie apocalypse actually does come, we'll be so beyond screwed because no one really knows how to deal with the zombies. We just have an idea, and ideas don't kill no zombies.

Also I would be excited about the book but I was just introduced to the awesome that is you, and I'm working on the excitement thing. However, I will say I am excited that I'm not the only insane person who owns Maine Coons and Siamese (mine fell in the toilet yesterday, oh cat ownership), so don't worry, there will be excitement for the book too! Yay!
I would just like to note that I'm the one who introduced her to you. I've been fielding "YOU'RE SO EVIL" accusations for like a week now.

1) Done!
2) Can Simon Pegg be my favourite thing about zombies?
3) Boooook.
4) Oh. *sits back down*
I dig how much diversity and personality a shambling horde can have.
While I'm not typically wild about zombies, I love a good political drama, and I can't wait to see how you integrate the two.
only fun when they are slow moving. "Forward, the steam roller!" :)
1. I like zombies because they have a sense of humor.

Two zombies are eating a clown, and one says to the other, "Does this taste funny to you?"

2. I am excited about the book, because the only woman I desire more than Mira Grant is Rose Marshall.
Very much looking forward to the book. I think zombies are delicious, the sugar cured zombies are especially tasty, although smoked zombie with jalapeno cheddar sauce is a very close second.

Can't wait to read Feed. Maybe the Great Pumpkin will shock me and let me win the draw this time. Otherwise I may start to seriously consider baking a Great Pumpkin pie.
I like zombies because there are not sparkly and emo-like.
We're all excited about Feed, even I'm getting excited about it and I usually don't get excited about zombies. Feed's Zombies sound like Zombies that make some sort of sense.

Heather.
My favorite thing about zombies is definitely running from them. My college had a zombie apocalypse day where the only way to not get infected was to make it across campus to the top story of a parking garage without aquiring a bloody handprint that turned you into a hunter instead of prey. It was like ten hours of madness all over campus, best day ever.
I am excited about the book because hello, you wrote it! I haven't watched many zombie movies, but so far Shawn of the Dead is probably my favorite...
I love zombies because they

1) Experience no angst over their existence like some vampires and werewolves I can mention (yes Louis, I'm looking at you).

2) Are focused on what they want out of their unlife (braaains!).

3) Remained pure to their horror roots while others have become shagging partners in romance and other genres.
1. Comment is here.

2. I like the fact that no matter how long you hold out for, the zombies always win in the end.

3. I am excited by anything that contains zombie goodness or caffeine.

4. That is also all.
