Restraining myself from posting more on the livechat

Looking over the BBB chat, my BF just informed me that I look like a plant. Honestly, I don't know you, I live in the Midwest, I have nothing to do with the publishing industry, but I do have cats. I read Rosemary and Rue because it was recommended by one of my favorite authors--Ilona Andrews, Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, Carrie Vaughn, Patricia Briggs, can't remember which--and it impressed me enough that I preordered the sequel when Amazon notified me of it. I had forgotten how much I liked the first book until I read the second (yesterday)when it magically appeared on my Kindle, and then serendipitously stumbled across the chat.

I just wish more people knew about you, and plan to tell my friends who are also Kim Harrison fans about the October Daye books. Unfortunately, when I mention to people that I read urban fantasy, I usually end up talking to a lot of paranormal romance fans, which is great, but if I hear one more person talk about Laurel K. Hamilton (who was awesome at first) or Twilight, I'm going to upchuck on their shoes.

Seriously, in a nutshell, you're good. You're really good. Please keep writing, I'll keep reading and will tell all my friends. Some of them have brains and will also like your books.

I didn't think you looked like a plant! For one thing, if you're photosynthesizing, and haven't told me how, I don't think I like you anymore...

I'm really glad you like the Toby books, and yeah, on the UF/PR thing. I actually like PR, but have started wanting to throw things when people ask whether Toby has lots and lots of HOTT SEXXORZ. No. No, she does not. Now please, kindly, take yourself out of range.
