In early 2015, Borderlands Books announced that they were going to close for financial reasons, and I was heartbroken. I cried. A lot. So did quite a few people I know. We fumbled, we flailed, we prayed for a miracle, and a miracle came along, in the form of the sponsorship program, by which patrons of the store could buy a one-year sponsorship and, if enough were sold, the store would stay open.

It's time for sponsorships again.

Alan (the owner) has worked his tail off making sure that Borderlands sponsorships would carry some value apart from "we still have a bookstore." There are events for local and visiting sponsors, special merchandise, panel events, and more. But best of all, we keep a bookstore in the world, and it's a bookstore the world really needs.

Please, consider taking a look at the sponsorship program, and maybe helping my local bookstore continue to be a force for good in the world.
