When will you rise? FEED giveaway #1!

In honor of George Romero's birthday, I am giving away an ARC of Feed to one lucky commenter. This is a random draw giveaway. At noon Pacific tomorrow, I will use my magical random number generator and select a winner. They will then have until noon Pacific on Sunday to send me their mailing information (through my website), or I will pick another winner.

So please! Comment! Tell me your favorite thing about zombies, or why you want to read Feed, or what you'll do if you win, or whatever. (I mean, a comment beyond just "comment" is nice, but not strictly required.)

George Romero gave the world zombies. In honor of his birthday, so do I. Because zombies are love.

When will you rise?

I have a love/cringe thing for zombies. Its taken me years to embrace it but its true. Zombies freak me the HELL out yet they're in there in my subconcious pointing things out to me in the dream time :)
Zombie movies of all sorts I protest then end up watching between my fingers augh!!! *love it* So yes I'm ready for zombie love LOL :D
Our Halloween party last year was Zombie themed, you had to come as something from the zombie Apocalypse. We of course had brains for our zombie guests.

Zombies with a pumpkin brain

I actually grew and carved that pumpkin.

And that is why I think I deserve an ARC in honor of George Romero.
My favourite thing about zombies is actually a theory my friend, Torrain has: They're not "monsters" in the traditional definition. They're natural disasters. :-) (*Does* the virgin always live in zombie flicks?)
Nope!
My favorite thing about zombies at the moment is Deathdream, an early '70s movie about a Vietnam vet zombie. It is awesome.
True love is having your lover decapitate you before you turn.
I want to read Feed because I love your writing, and because describing a zombies and journalism book to my friend with a degree in journalism and a love of urban horror will make him giggle.
I want to read Feed because I got to read Rosemary and Rue and loved it. I'm also a fan of yours, and - well, I'm a book junkie. :-)
Favorite thing about zombies? The squishing noise.
I just recently watched Dawn of the Dead actually, it was really really amusing lol, I love Peter and Roger (tragedy and all) ♥
what I like about zombies: they encourage gratuitous gore 8D

(I hope this is open to Canada?)
Absolutely. :) I always specify when I'm not willing to mail outside the country. It just takes a little longer, 'cause I hate doing the customs forms.
There's nothing better than wandering down the street singing "Zombie jamboree" or something similar to get interesting looks :-)
Assuming I survive the Snowpocalypse predicted for the Washington, DC area tomorrow and Saturday, I would LOVE to have an ARC. Fortunately I have a yarn stash that might help keep me entertained over a couple of days of being stuck at home ;-). If I win, I will squee mightily, and pimp you even more :-D
Comment! I need a copy of this book. I need it like burning.
Random zombie comment. When I was a little kid I had nightmares about zombies living behind the walls of my bedroom. Still remember how scared the dream made me, and that's 30 years ago now.
Looking forward to Feed - I'll likely read it even faster than Rue :)
Last year I read more zombie novels than vampire novels, a first for me. In general, I still prefer vampires, but look forward to your vision of zombies.

In unrelated news, I finally got a copy of GRANTS PASS and wanted to let you know I enjoyed "Animal Husbandry."
Oh, yay! I'm really glad you liked it. :) It was my first-ever anthology invite, and I remain all giddy over its existence.
What would I do with a copy of FEED? I'd read it. Probably be inspired with photo ideas. (That happened with Rosemary and Rue, but I haven't acted on them yet.) I'll probably geek out over it and tell friends to read it. Those kinds of things. :)
I can't tell you how excited I am about the idea of your zombie book. CANNOT WAIT.
Zombies ...mmmm...brains. I'm fascinated by them.
My favourite thing about zombies is that... uh, no, wait, they do need to be cleaned up after... and they do rather smell bad, come to think of it...

Oh, hey! They burn real good, and they 'splode even better! KABOOM!

I'd totally love a copy of Feed.
I scared my husband by giving him a copy of Grant's Pass & making him read "Animal Husbandry".
It launched a great debate about... "domesticated animals", and what was ethical if the events actually happened.

Oh, that's fantastic.

Thanks!

"Ok, So let me get this straight."
"Yeah"
"Vampire gets bit fighting zombies..."
"Can you imagine, like Drac..."
"Shut it! A vampire gets a zompie bite..."
"right..."
"and becomes a zombie vampire..."
"like, undead squared..."
"...and goes around craving the brains of other vampires?"
"NO! geez, the vampire thirsts for the blood of zombies and..."
"Thirsts for Zombie blood?
Yeah, now just..."
"I said shut it and just answer my damn questions! So when the zombie vampire..."
"Uh huh"
"Bites the zombie... I keep tellin' you zombies prob'ly got any left. Whatever, The bit zombie becomes..."
"Yeah, yeah..."
"Vampire zombie?"
"Right! eating..."
"Craving the brains of vampires?"
"Now you got it..."
"What I got is an idjit drinkin' up all my Buds, Clyde."
I'm trying to get over my fear of zombies and books are better than movies, though I still plan to watch Zombieland (screw the insomnia that will follow, movie looks funny).
It is. It's hysterical.

I’ve never read a zombie book before, and I love zombies. And your writing. So I kinda need to read it =P.
