Happy Bookday, Adam! (Katy Perry, eat your heart out.)

My dear friend Adam Selzer (adamselzer) is a professional author, smart aleck, and ghost tour guide. If you've ever wanted to see the haunted side of Chicago, he's your man, and he even promises not to let you go with Resurrection Mary unless you really, really want to. He writes YA and middle grade books which are just an amazing amount of fun, and today, yes, today, his latest masterpiece is available to the masses:

I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It [Amazon]|[Mysterious Galaxy]

It has thrills, chills, comedy, tragedy, and an awesome soundtrack including songs by yours truly, my beloved Vixy, my equally beloved Dr. Mary Crowell, and more. Adam is an awesome dude and an awesome author, and this promises to be an awesome book. No matter what your age is, if you love witty writing, glorious snark, and, of course, zombies, this is the book for you.

Go ye forth, and shamble into glory.

Argh, I went to his site and got drawn into weird Chicago... which is good, as I'll be there at Midsummer, and especially as he seems to be the man to talk to about Underpass Mary (now featuring in two songs, and I'd love to go sing them for her there, even if she's gone...) He has a blog entry on her, and I tried to comment to him but ended up in a mare's nest of 'you can't sign up from there because you already did whether you remember or not' arghness. Oh well. Tell him there's a mad English songwriter who's written about the Chicago underpass in question, and I will look out for his books and tour bus when I'm there.

Nice heads-up - his stuff looks like a lot of fun!
Hi, Talis! I don't run the tours anymore (it ceased to be about history and came to be about bachelorette parties and such), but I know the underpass well and woudl LOVE to take a group of filkers out on a private tour around Duckcon time. "Still Catch the Tide" is one of my favorite songs ever!
