A note for the locals: Kelley Armstrong signing tonight.

Kelley Armstrong, author of the Women of the Otherworld series, will be signing tonight (July 28th, 2008) at Borderlands Books. The signing is to celebrate the release of her first YA novel, and is in conjunction with a signing by Melissa Marr. The signing is at seven.

I'm very much looking forward to this. This is going to be Kelley Armstrong's first American signing appearance, which makes it sort of a big deal, and I've always enjoyed her work. Hopefully, it'll include a talk or a Q&A, as I'm really curious about her recently-announced book, Men of the Otherworld. Hmmmmm, says I...

Hope to see you there!

Huh...I think someone misinformed you, because she's signed in America before. She signed my copy of Personal Demon at a convention here in Pittsburgh a few months back, where she also told me that her next unannounced book will be a Clay and Elena story set in Alaska and delving deeper into werecreature culture, and also that she's had a shaman story brewing in her head for awhile but other characters keep getting in the way of it being told.
Interesting, because it was her site that said this was her first. Maybe this is her first signing? She's not at a convention, she's just doing a bookstore appearance.
Argh! I'm on the wrong coast...
I just got The Summoning - I didn't realize it was in hardcover, but I decided it was worth it.

I've heard a rumour Men of the Otherworld is all the short stories she did for her website, but I'm hoping she'll add something new.
According to Kelley, Men of the Otherworld will actually be two volumes, each containing some of the website short stories, and some new material.
I'm so far on the wrong coast it's not even funny, but I'm really excited that she's doing US signings outside a con; hopefully she'll do more signings closer to where I am, so that I can convince fellow fans that it's not too far to drive to get books signed.
I LOVE Kelley Armstrong. LOVE those books. Adore them and own every one (except for the very newest one, I think). :D Hope you have a great time, Seanan! Wish I could be there. (But she's local to Ontario Canada - where I *live* ... so eventually, I'll get to some place where she is, I'm thinking ...)
