Help with family trees.

I need to design a graphic family tree for the InCryptid books, since family is such a central (and unavoidable) concept. Does anybody have any recommendations for ways to do this, or want to help me by putting a tree together? I won't promise to be your best friend, but I will look endearing and mention you in the acknowledgments...

Sharon is also a genealogist, which isn't an offer, but a note that I've had some exposure.

Genealogical software that's designed to work with real-world families is kind of overkillish for your purposes, since you don't need to record document sources and such. But as something that will allow you to enter a bunch of names and dates, and generate a graphical tree from it, they're great. Here's the first free one that my Googling turned up.
Whoops, I sit corrected. I assumed that Sharon was using commercial software. She is, but she's worked with free ones, and says that the free version of this is the best.
