Blogging for Penguin.

Hey, y'all, I'm the guest blogger for Penguin USA this week. Wander by the site to learn about my approach to holidays, discover why I think Santa Claus is the son of Persephone and Hades, and convince the nice folks at Penguin that having me blog for them is a worthwhile exercise.

Pretty please?

Lovely. I commented; we'll see if they pass it.
They did! Thank you!
That was really cool.

I much prefer the Persephone story when it's one about a young woman finding her own way rather than one about rape and abduction.
As do I.
Any chance of you posting the dark chocolate pomegranate cookie recipe?
It does appear that people want it...

You have just inspired a community-wide hunt for dark!chocolate-pomegranate cookies, I'll have you know.

Oh, for a kitchen (particularly a clean one) instead of this rather dull cubical!

Making chocolates tonight. May have to do something pom-ish as well... <*plots*>
I will have you know that since I posted my initial entry, I've spurred at least a half-dozen people to e-mail me and go "You making some is now a must! And I'll be your taste-tester!" <laughs>

No. Surprises. There. ;-)

I have posted a recipe!
Kewl.
Thank you.
I really enjoyed your article, and find your take on things intriguing. I've often wished that I had the chance to sit down and discuss folklore/mythology with you.

If it happens, can I get in on that talk? <*is a mythology nut*>

They appear to be going through. Thanks!
For some reason I read that as "quest blogger" and thought: "What's that? But... it sounds like something she would do..." ^^
I may be eaten by a grue.
Great post. I commented over there too :)
Thanks!
My eyes skipped a line, I read it as: "I'm the guest blogger for ... Hades". Hey, I'd read that blog *g*...
...and I'd write it!
I <3 you. Seriously.

I have directed my eclectic pagan group to read the Spirits of the Season entry. I think they will be highly amused. And likely to buy your book ;-)
Awww, thank you!
