The power of kittens compells you!

First off, remember that I'm still taking entries in the A Local Habitation ARC contest! To answer two questions I've been asked a time or two, no, the pets don't need to be yours, just photographed with owner consent, and yes, this contest is open to everyone, not just US residents. (To answer a third question, yes, you're welcome to cover your book with snails or give it to an octopus, but in those cases, I won't replace it. "Book eaten by tiger" is an accident, "book given to marine resident" is a very odd choice and an excuse to go to the bookstore.)

I'll take entries until the end of the weekend, and open voting Monday or Tuesday. Pet photography is fun!



Alice wants you to be sure you buy a copy of A Local Habitation. She has a thing for expensive cat food, see...

Alice pictures make me all happy and warm fuzzied and misty-eyed.

But especially since we lost our own grey and white furball a few weeks ago.

So Thanksgiving thanks *you* for a new Alice picture.

I think my "cat to human" translation is a bit off. What I'm getting from that look is, "Touch the ARC and you die. Buy the book, or I will find you and make you suffer."

I read the second part of the look as "Buy the book or else you die even more painfully" *g*. But perhaps killing potential customers before they buy the book is not optimal.

(I'm safe, I have it on pre-order...)

Oh, she's adorable, and I'm really looking forward to the new book! (Argh, still haven't posted my book reviews.)

Though she does look a bit... disgruntled, maybe.

I'm fairly certain "Disgruntled" is the default cat expression installed at the factory.
