First sighting in the wild.

I realize that we're eleven days early. That's probably why I feel like I'm having a coronary right now. That having been said, the first sighting-by-author of Rosemary and Rue in the wild has officially occurred, at the San Francisco Borders located at 4th and King.

I am on the very front of the "selected paperbacks" rack.

I am face-outward on the science fiction and fantasy shelf (where, thanks to an accident of alphabetization, I'm located about a foot from Stephanie Meyer).

They have, from quick count while hyperventilating, about twenty-one copies out and on display. If you're not going to make the book release parties, or want to buy multiple copies, or just can't wait, this would be a dandy time to go and make the books go away, so that I can keep on breathing.

Nnnnghg.

I'll have to check it out as I might be allowed to treat myself to a new book. :)
Yay!
Not seen in this part of Canada. But I'm on the prowl.
Prowl away!
I can stop by my local Borders tomorrow and check. Would you like photos?
Photos are always welcome.
All right! How awesome for you! October is *really* early this year! (Must be a Fae time dilation thing...)
Behold, for now I control time itself.
*fetches a fan, ice chips, and candy corn*

Hmm, well, Borders' website still says "Not available in stores," so I might have to trek out to Fairlawn--tomorrow between works, or maybe Saturday morn--to see what I can see.
Let me know how it goes.

Oh, it's so there. It took all of my will power (which, mind you, isn't a whole lot to start with) to not fangirl all over the damn place.

I read the first twenty-some pages right then and there, and was all *sadface* when I had to put it back and go to work. Payday, you need to get here sooner...

(Edit) Also, it was right next to Gregory Macguire's Son of a Witch. It was a little shelf of pure Awesome.
CHAPTERS in Surrey, BC, CANADA (Strawberry Hill)

NO copies found on shelves.

Sadly.

Acquired more Terry Pratchett as a consolation.

Will return in approx 13 days
Hooray!
Just got mine. I walked into the second largest Borders in Ann Arbor, and you had three front-facing stacks (so, fifteen to start, and I brought it down from 13 to 12) at the upper left corner of the "New and Noteworthy" paperback rack near the front of the store. (I didn't check the SF/Fantsy rack.) Borders may be violating DAW's release date, but they sure are doing right by you.

It's real. And that's a very, very good thing. Keep breathing, sweetie.
Eeeeee.

Got my copy at the San Francisco Centre mall Borders, right above the Powell BART station. Four front facing rows on the "Great Paperbacks Under $10" display at the front of the store, and 12 copies in the sci-fi/fantasy section, in correct alphabetical order, fortuitously on an eye-level shelf. 33 copies in all, as of Friday night (minus of course the copy I bought).
Got mine (with 10 copies left on the shelves) at Borders near Wall Street in Manhattan, on Broadway.

Camera battery was running low so I used my cell instead:
