Those eclipses need to set a damn alarm.

Behold! For now I wear the human pants! Earlier this evening, I finished doing the redline edits on the physical manuscript of Late Eclipses, finished entering those edits into my manuscript copy, and finished processing the corrections in Vixy's gloriously detailed machete file. Then I kissed it goodnight, told it to wear its jacket, and shipped it off to The Agent once again. Ha.

The current book stats:

Pages, 400.
Words, 106,830.
Chapters, thirty-seven.
Cans of DDP, beyond counting.

So basically the book gained two chapters and lost a thousand words. It also gained a lot of awesome, which is good, because otherwise, it might have gained a date with a wood-chipper. I am very, very ready to be working on The Brightest Fell, aka, "Toby Daye, book five," aka, "Seanan, honey, can we please wait for Rosemary and Rue to come out before you finish the second set of three?" But dude, it's been waiting so patiently, and I've been neglecting it for so long. Book five needs love!

In conclusion...

...DINO DANCE PARTY!

Pirate Ninjas from Dino Island?
Only if you're really, really good.
I'm refrain from butchering it, then, and leave it to Tom Smith, who won't. Alas, I wasn't able to find a link on tomsmithonline.com for folks to hear it for free. (It's on the MarCon 2005 CD, maybe elsewhere too.)

I may have to butcher Close Your Eyes someday ... but there's no dinosaurs in that one, just demons and land mines and no sister and no grandpa. So I've wandered far enough topic... Anyway, congratulations on finishings and resumings, which is even better than endings and new beginnings!
Eeeeeeeeee yay!
FINALLY.
Yaaaaay!!!
I am much relieved.
Major Congrats
Thank you!
You do realize that this is going to seriously cut into my writing my silly stories, don't you? I already have a huge fan-girl crush on Toby from reading Rosemary and Rue and am already planning to purchase the next books as they come out.
Well, yay. :) I hope everyone shares your convictions.
Okay. I'll ask. When you say, "I wear the human pants," well... what were you wearing BEFORE that?
It's a Penny Arcade quote. I'm odd, I know.
Whee! Back to TBF! *does a happy Snoopy dance*
At last, the carnage can continue.
Congrats on finishing :)
Thank you!
Huzzah for more Toby books! I just finished an ARC of R&R-- I'm a bookseller-- and loved it. And I promise to personally put it in the 'Staff Recommendations' fixture as soon as it's officially out; it should get more attention that way.
Oh, brilliant. Thank you so much!
Damn, why do these have to be scheduled to come out spaced so far apart? I hate waiting for sequels!
...they're already coming out at a very accelerated rate, with only six months between volumes. If they came out any faster, either the series would end very abruptly, or they would start to suck. Those are your only options.
Yeah... I think I'm spoiled by just rarely starting series before there are at least a few books already out. But I won't want to wait to start this one, so I'll just have to suffer between books (pout pout).
*dances dinotastically*
GO DINO GO!
