A few quick notes for the zombie fans.

Well, my editor—Mira's editor—somebody's editor said very nice things about acquiring the Newsflesh trilogy. I am pleased and flattered.

Meanwhile, over on InevitableZombieApocalypse.com (which may be the best domain name ever), word is being spread, although they credit me, not Mira, as the author. Can one's own pseudonym come stalking in the night to wreak vengeance? It bears consideration. (They got their info from Media Bistro, which has a somewhat larger piece.)

The odds that I sold my soul at the crossroads for fame and fortune seem to be getting higher. On the plus side, it means the constant attendance of the Everything You Ever Wanted Fairy; I am hence not particularly disturbed.

Whee.

I didn't realise it was an auction! That's even more fantastic, you got fought over!

I'm interested to know why you picked Mira as your pseudonym, but I'm sure you'll tell us all at some point. I just thought I'd mention it. I am very fond of names and naming.
I did get fought over! In a very distant and mostly my agent dealt with it sort of a way. Still, it was very exciting.

I'll explain the pseudonym eventually, I promise.
I met the devil in a field
I said "Oh finally! Did you bring my contract?"
And the secret he revealed
Was that he waits for no one, and he's never made a single deal

But if you want to see the Northern Lights
You gotta lift up your head and
If you wanna have some kind of life
Decide you're not better off dead and
If you want to read the secret story written in your future
You better start to write it now...

Hee.
"Hmm. According to the fine print, the agent handling the purchase of your soul is a Mercurian."

"I don't follow."

"I think you sold your soul to an angel."

"Damn. I guess that's what I get for translating the summoning instructions using Babelfish."
Oh! This I like.
WIN!
:)
:>
Sorry if I should have used your pseudonym -- I was just repeating what Bistro wrote (wish I had the resources to do more reporting, but until I can get this gig to pay, I'm usually just an aggregator) and they listed name first, pseudonym second so I just used the name.

And I am very glad you like my domain name (InevitableZombieApocalypse.com). I like it too. Look forward to the book! Feel free to contact me and send me a review copy when it is ready.
So not the drama! Thank you for picking up the report at all! The whole "me vs. Mira" thing is an open pseudonym, more for the sake of bookstore differentiation than out of any belief that we can fool the Internet, and having a pseudonym at all is still very new to me. I can't shake the feeling that she's having more fun than I am...

I don't know when I'll have review copies, but I'll definitely keep you in mind. I'm a zombie-obsessed little horror girl (and have been since I was in single-digits and first realized that Daddy would've gotten us uzis), so anything I can do to raise awareness of the threat of the undead is okay by me.
When Jane takes Mira out for a corrupting night on the town, will there be pictures? Maybe comics or songs?
I'm sure there will be some commemoration of the event.
